Changing the World, One Smile at a Time
A Message from the Founder.
As you may realize, I was that student that had that crazy dream to try and change the world. CFKC is an organization created by a child for a child, in that I was only a teenager when I created this movement. The idea itself was born at the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine. For one of our activities we were to create a “mock” community organization and with that activity, this idea was born. I realize that cancer is something that surrounds all of us and I think that instead of letting it control us, we should instead be just as strong as our little fighters and attack back. We are not just an organization but a community of helping individuals, and as we grow as a community of people determined to make a difference, so does our commitment to help those children affected by cancer. With each year and event, I gain more confidence and support of truly making this organization one that is nationally known. If you have not heard of us yet, do not be surprised for we are only just beginning to grow. I am very proud to say that we are a tax exempt 501 (c)3 private foundation. However I urge you to join us in our movement for the enjoyment you get from helping a child and their family is unexplainable. I was, and I hope you were as well, a child that was blessed to be healthy and not to have any serious medical problems. Sadly though this is not the case for all children and for those children that need extra care, extra love and support is needed. So as you learn about us, and hear our story know that we are people just like you, simply just trying to make a difference in the world. I urge you to read about us and learn what we do, and I hope that by the end you become a part of our ever growing family.
With Deepest Gratitude,
